    PD Encourages Everyone to "Start By Believing"

    Encouraging considerate and caring treatment for sexual assault victims is the core of “Start By Believing."

    The Northglenn Police Department (NPD) joined this international campaign in 2018. With April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, NPD and the city are encouraging everyone to pledge to “Start By Believing.”

    Global Campaign

    End Violence Against Women International began Start By Believing in 2011. Many sexual assault victims never report or even talk about their incident. Those who do often face doubt and blame, rather than compassion and support, which hinders the victim from seeking help through the justice system.
