Fun in the ParkAges 12-14
Join us for fun, games, crafts and friends every Friday during summer! Come as many or as few days as you would like. Look for the blue canopy for a fun activity. Don’t forget a sack lunch, plenty of water, and sunscreen. Parks rotate between E.B. Rains Jr. memorial Park, Northwest Open Space, and Hugh Danahy according to the schedule located below.

ABLE to Sail
ABLE to Sail is a summer youth empowerment camp that teaches the basics of sailing while utilizing metaphors that are aimed at directly and intentionally changing negative, self-defeating thought patterns and beliefs of limitation to an empowering mindset of ‘enoughness’ and possibility. Transportation is not provided. Drop-off and pick-up takes place at Union Reservoir in Longmont. For more information about the program, please visit abletosail.org. CPR, First Aid & Babysitting
Babysitter Training
Age 11-14
This course is designed for the preteen and helps them prepare for their first babysitting opportunities. Students learn routine child care duties and responsibilities including feeding, bathing and diapering. Basic child development activities for developmental stages will be covered. Also stressed will be home and fire safety, infant and child CPR, rescue breathing and choking procedures. Bring a sac lunch and water bottle. Refunds not offered to no-shows.

Pediatric CPR/First Aid
Ages 11+
Pediatric health and safety training covering CPR, chocking and AED for infant, child and adult applications. First aid prevention and treatment for basic injury/illness, bleeding/shock management, fractures and sprains, burns, eye injuries, medical emergencies such as seizure, stroke and heart-related problems. Certification provided. Bring a sack lunch and water bottle. Refunds not offered to no-shows.

Teen Night Out | Flick and Float
Enjoy a night out at the pool with a movie! First come, first serve for 60 participants. Bring a swimsuit and a towel. Drop-off starts at 6:45 p.m. and pick-up ends at 9:15 p.m. Movies will be rated PG-13. All Northglenn Recreation Center facility and aquatics age restrictions apply.

Leaders in Training
Ages 13-15
Teen Volunteers develop leadership, job training and mentorship skills through active service learning on a team. Volunteers will explore communication and conflict resolution techniques and develop personal goals. Due to limited space availability, this program is selective. Click here to learn more.
Volunteer Program
Ages 15-17
Connect with your community and volunteer! Teens will be able to give back to their community by helping at upcoming events. This volunteer program is not appropriate for teens needing to complete court-ordered community service.
