All About the Poster Contest
Poster submissions must follow the poster contest theme of Youth Addiction. The theme is broad and can include the designer's perspective on how youth addiction affects them, their community, and beyond. Poster designs can also be about any substance that the contestant may want to raise awareness about. Using textual evidence is highly encouraged to bolster impact. Youth within the broader Adams 12 School District and City of Northglenn are asked to express their perspective on this ongoing crisis to local government through creativity and art.
Youth in grades 6-12 attending any school in the Adams 12 School District or living in the City of Northglenn are eligible to participate. Posters must be size 8.5"x11" or 11"x17" on paper. For full list of rules and guidelines, see "Poster Contest Registration" below.
Northglenn Youth Commission
In 2022, the Northglenn Youth Commission decided to make Public Health a Priority Project for the upcoming 2023 year. Starting in 2023, the Youth Commission took steps to help support programs that helped support youth and their families in the community. Early in 2023, Youth Addiction was seen as a hot topic within the community. By fall 2023, the Northglenn Youth Commission decided to host a poster contest for youth in the community meant to help raise awareness about Youth Addiction and start the conversation on how to address the issue among youth and their families.

Submissions are due by 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
