The legislative affairs of the City are vested in the City Council, which consists of nine members. Two members are elected from each of the City's four wards and the mayor is elected from the City at large. City Council enacts local legislation, adopts budgets, determines policies and appoints the City Manager, who executes the laws and administers the city government. The City is divided into four wards, as shown on the map. Each ward is represented by two Council members and the Mayor represents the City at-large. Each ward is then divided into two precincts for election purposes. Please contact the City Clerk's office if you need help finding your ward. | | City Council Meetings
City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Study Sessions are held on the first and third Thursday at 6:00 p.m. as needed.
