The KYGO Christmas Crusade for Children brightens the spirits of children who would not otherwise receive a gift on Christmas morning and to present police officers as positive figures in their lives.
The program was started in 1983 by a small group of police officers calling themselves “Santa Cops”. The program has grown to include about 6,000 children across the metro area. Through 2011, the program has touched the lives of over 214,000 children.
The information on children in need is developed by officers from the Police Department. Items are purchased, and the officers deliver the items to children prior to Christmas.
Please join the Police Department in their efforts to help children in the Northglenn area this Christmas.
