If you have large items that cannot fit in your city trash cart, we can come by on your regular trash day and collect up to 10 bulky household items. 

Allowed Items
Some items that can be taken away as part of a special pickup include:

• Furniture
• Appliances (without Freon)
• Exercise and sports equipment
• Lawn care equipment
• Automotive parts (fees apply for tires)
• Cabinets, doors, windows
• Bathtubs, sinks, toilets
• Mattresses and boxsprings (fees apply)
  
  

These items will NOT be collected as a special pickup:

• Trash bags
• Cardboard boxes
• Appliances with Freon
• Camper shells
• Carpeting or rugs
• Construction materials
• Electronics
• Fencing
• Hot tubs
• Pianos and organs
• Sheds
• Tree branches and yard waste

Scheduling
Call 303.450.4004 to schedule a pick-up for your next trash day.  It's best to call by 2:30 p.m. no later than one business day prior to your trash collection day.   Please be prepared with a list of the items you want picked up.  Crews will only pick up what is listed on the special pickup ticket.

Price
Residents may schedule two special pickups per calendar year.  Additional special pickups cost $100. 

Charges apply for these items:

Tires (must be removed from rim):

• $2 for each car tire
• $5 for each truck tire

Mattresses and box springs*:

• $65 for the first two pieces
• $20 for each additional piece

  *Mattresses and box springs can also be dropped off at the Yard Waste Mulching Center during  Saturday business hours for $25 per piece.  Drop-offs must be scheduled in advance and residents must bring I.D.

One of each type of major appliance can be picked up per year.  Pickup of a second same type of major appliance will cost $65.

Any charges for a special pickup will appear on your trash bill.
