Police officer and Police trainee applicants must be 21 years of age, pass a physical assessment, pass a psychological evaluation and polygraph, and pass an extensive background check.

Upon successful completion of each phase of the evaluation and hiring process, Police trainee applicants will participate in a 22-week academy.

Opportunities include: Accident Investigations Team, Adams County Critical Incident Team, Community Relations, Crisis Negotiations Unit, Detective, Field Training Officer, Honor Guard, North Metro Drug Task Force, School Resource Officer, SWAT and Traffic Team.
