Parks and Trails Volunteers

Trail Partners
Trail partners agree to walk a section of one of the trails within the city at least twice a month, picking up any visible trash and debris , and reporting any hazardous materials to our staff.
Each of our trail partners is provided a trash grabber, gloves, and one roll of trash bags every three months.
Trail partners also have the added benefit of having recognition signage placed on their section of trail! You can be recognized as an individual, family, club, business, or other group.
If this interests you, please connect with Jenna Gragg

Flowerbed Partners
Dedicated volunteers plant and care for a designated city flowerbed. The commitment is at least one hour per week from May through October. We'll provide training and a recognition sign for your work.
Availability: All beds have partners for the 2024 season. Please connect with us again in early 2025 if you are interested!

Farmers’ Highline Canal Cleanup
Hundreds of volunteers from throughout Northglenn and Thornton spend one Saturday morning in March scouring parks, riverbeds and trails picking up garbage and debris. This 27-year long tradition ensures the canal is clear before the water for the canal is turned on in April and gets our parks and trails ready for the spring and summer.  A thank-you lunch is served afterward.

2024 Cleanup: Saturday, March 23
