    Treated Water Volume Rates, cost for each 1,000 gallons

    Treated water has been cleaned and processed at the Water Treatment Plant and is ready for your use. This fee is based on the amount of water your residence consumes and is in addition to the monthly fixed charge.

    Other Charges on Your Water Bill


    The annual sewer charge is based upon the average water consumption billed on the December, January and February and March statements. This average consumption is multiplied by the sewer rate of $4.52. New residents are initially set at the city-wide average, which is currently $18.08 (4,000 gallons). Each account’s sewer average is updated each year beginning with the April statement. A minimum sewer charge of $13.56 per month applies to all accounts regardless of consumption.


    A trash charge of $16 per month is also on your water bill. This is for a maximum of three polycarts.

    Stormwater Impact Fee

    Stormwater is what runs off by snowmelt or rain.

    • Each single family residence is charged $2 per month.
    • Commercial businesses, churches and schools are charged $20 per month per acre.

    Water Bill FAQs

    • Utility bills are mailed monthly
    • Payment is due 23 days from the billing date. Interest is charged on an unpaid balanced carried forward to the next billing cycle.
    • Final Notices are issued when an account has two or more monthly statements outstanding and the account balance is $100 or more.
    • A $10 fee is charged for a Final Notice. A Final Notice is giving a 10-day notice to make payment on the delinquent balance and avoid Disconnection of Service.
    • A Penalty Fee is charged if payment of the Final Notice amount is not received by 5 p.m. on the due date whether or not service is disconnected.
    • If you have requested payment arrangements with the city for your utility account, breaking the arrangement will result in immediate disconnection of service without notice and full payment of the account balance including all fees will be required to restore service.
    • Payment made by a check with insufficient funds will cause your service to be disconnected without further notice and will require a cash payment plus processing fees.
    • Partial payments or payment arrangements must be approved through Customer Service.
    • If you have received a Final Notice, please speak with a customer service representative concerning payments to avoid disconnection of service. Final Notices may have an earlier due date than current charges.
