Trash FAQ

What day is my trash picked up?

Trash is collected Monday through Friday.
• Monday: Northeast section of city, south part of Fox Run
• Tuesday: Southeast section of city, west part of Fox Run
• Wednesday: Central section of city (between I-25 and Washington Street, east part of Fox Run)
• Thursday: West section of city (west of I-25, north of 104th Avenue)
• Friday: Southwest section of city (south of 104th Avenue)

What holidays does the trash service observe?

Trash is not collected on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. If your trash day falls on one of these holidays, your trash will be picked up on the next business day.

What if my trash wasn't picked up?

It was probably overweight, not out on time or not properly prepared. The city has rules and regulations that we ask our residents to follow to allow a safe and efficient service. Click here for printable version of those rules and regulations. Make sure your cart is out by 7 a.m. on your trash day. Ensure that cars are not obstructing your trash. Make sure your cart(s) or other approved disposal items are properly set out and prepared.

What are are the business hours for the Solid Waste Division?

Office hours for the division are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

What if I need trash service for my business or commercial property?

Unfortunately Northglenn only provides trash and recycling services to single family homes. Businesses and commercial property are responsible for contracting with an independent commercial provider. If you lease business space please check with your property management team to determine your trash removal options.
