Weight Room Orientation

The Weight Room at the Northglenn Recreation Center offers many different pieces of workout equipment and resources. If you are new to the weight room and/or to the Recreation Center, we invite you to enroll in one of our FREE group weight room orientations. Each orientation will be 60 minutes in length. 
Are you looking for a private orientation? Schedule a time with one of our trainers to help you get started!

Sound Bath

Come and immerse yourself in a 90-minute session of soothing sound vibrations. Discover the transformative effects that vibration and sound can have on your body, mind, and energy field! Don't forget to bring along your yoga mat, pillow, blanket, and bolster—or anything else that ensures your comfort on the floor. We'll have some props available as well.

Drum Circle

The practice of drumming gives us an opportunity to experience where we can be free to connect with ourselves and others, in order to release, restore, and heal. It is a universal language where all people can be a part, free from words and concepts, a space of self-discovery and expression.
The healing benefits of drumming are it reduces stress, induces deep relaxation, lowers blood pressure, boosts the immune system, helps control chronic pain, and helps release negative feelings, blockages, and emotional trauma.

No experience in drumming is necessary to participate and you do not need to own a drum, though you can bring yours if you have one.
