Northglenn Arts

Northglenn Arts is home to the DL Parsons Theatre, the largest and oldest of its size in Adams County. The theater hosts entertainment year-round to patrons of all ages.

Theatrical auditions are held throughout the year, offering youth and adults an opportunity to perform in community theater. Live theatrical performances include works from the Northglenn Youth Theatre (May and November), Missoula Children’s Theatre (January and July), Northglenn Players (July and December), and Northglenn Chorale (year-round). Additionally, classes are offered through NYT Academy and include programs in drama, dance and theatre education.

Northglenn Arts presents performances and films for citizens of all ages, including Magical Mornings and Break Escape performances for school age children, the Travel Film Series for adults, and our outstanding A Cappella Concert Series at the D.L. Parsons Theatre and the Summer Concert Series held at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park.

Special events include:

Northglenn’s Art on Parade program, launched in 2001, is a unique one-year outdoor sculpture-on-loan program that features the work of up to six professional sculptors in our outdoor gallery at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park. Each January, we offer an open entry or Call for Artist to collect submissions of artwork into the program. Residents can volunteer for the Art on Parade Selection Committee and choose the top six sculptures, which are installed at E.B. Rains in late spring. In the fall, Northglenn residents and general art lovers are asked to vote on the sculpture they would like to see the Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation purchase. The People's Choice sculpture is added to the city’s permanent public art collection in community parks. Through active engagement between artists, community and staff, the public art exhibit strives to reflect the city’s cultural richness.
