HEAL Committee

The Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Committee looks at city policies that make it easier for Northglenn residents to live a healthier lifestyle.

The committee currently meets once a month in City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive

The city formed the committee after joining the HEAL Cities and Towns Campaign in the fall of 2014. This program is a partnership between LiveWell Colorado and the Colorado Municipal League (CML), which provides training and technical assistance to achieve the goals of HEAL.

Rendition of Bike Rack
The city’s HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) Committee is pedaling a new program where businesses can request a new bike rack on a first-come, first-served basis.

The city will cover the full cost of the rack, but businesses will be required to pay for installation and ongoing maintenance.

The program is open to any group with a business license, including churches and nonprofits.

The numbers are limited, and applications are due by Jan. 15.

This program is paid for in part through a grant courtesy of LiveWell Colorado.
