Construction to Start on Grant Street Median This Week

Traffic Will Be Down to One Lane in Each Direction

A portion of the median on Grant Street between 120th Avenue and Community Center Drive in Northglenn will be replaced to improve traffic flow and visibility around the south entrance to the Webster Lake Promenade.

Construction will start between Aug. 7 and 9, and is scheduled to last until Sept. 13.

The street will remain open to vehicles, but motorists should expect slower travel than normal. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and crews will be on site weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Also, the crosswalk at the south entrance of the Promenade will be closed. Pedestrians can use the crosswalk just up the street at the entrance to SCL Health Saint Joseph Emergency – Northglenn.

Crews with Technology Constructors will realign the curb on the median, remove some of the landscaping and make improvements to the median itself. The contract amount for this project is $120,000.
