Saturday, Oct. 22, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The Northglenn Police Department and Northglenn High School are teaming up again for Safe Street Halloween. New this year is a Goosebumps theme, based on the movie and books by R.L. Stine and Trunk or Treat. This annual event, now in it’s 18th year, provides area residents with a free, safe, and sometimes spooky environment for kids to treat or treat. Northglenn High School students will entertain all the costume clad children and their family with Goosebumps themed decorated classrooms and Halloween music.
The students, local groups and businesses will pass out more than 5,000 pounds of candy. Trunk or Treat will be outside, and provide an extra opportunity for trick or treaters. Once inside the school, trick or treat in 20 classrooms, but first, walk through the Haunted Gym, visit the Arachnophobia Corner, or the new Scary Hallway (if you dare). There is cookie decorating and contests, too. Safe Street Halloween is safe fun for the whole family.
Community groups and businesses are invited to participate. Candy can be donated at city hall, on either the first or second floor.
Sponsors of the 2016 event are Horizons North Credit Union, Dodge Sign Company, Advanced Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine, and Gethsemane Lutheran Church and School.
