Opportunities to Help This Holiday Season

Bike Clean Up on Dec. 9
The annual Bike Clean Up is on Dec. 9.
Everything From Donating Socks to Cleaning Up Bikes

With the holiday season upon us, the city has opportunities for you to help out your neighbors and community!

City Accepting Donations for Local Families
We’re accepting donations of food, bicycles and warm coats through Dec. 13. Drop them off at City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive; the Northglenn Recreation Center, 11801 Community Center Drive; or the Maintenance & Operations Building, 12301 Claude Court.
For more details on helping or nominating a deserving family, contact Jenni Murphy at jmurphy@northglenn.org or 303.450.8904.

Christmas Crusade
Help the Police Department bring the joy of the holidays to underprivileged youth as part of the KYGO Christmas Crusade for Children.
You can help by donating NEW gifts through Dec. 19 at the police station in City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive. These presents should be appropriate for youth of all ages, from babies to teenagers. Please - no food, used items or toy guns.
For more information contact Officer Scott McNeilly at 303.450.8852 or smcneilly@northglenn.org, or go to www.christmascrusadeforchildren.org.

Bike Clean Up
Sat., Dec. 9, 8-11 a.m., Maintenance & Operations Facility, 12301 Claude Ct.
Join the city for its annual bike clean up and repair, the culmination of the year-round Northglenn Bike Program. Volunteers are needed as all the bikes must be repaired, cleaned and prepped for delivery the following week. Tools for repairs are helpful, but not necessary. Please wear warm clothing.
For more information, or to RSVP by Dec. 8, please contact Jenni Murphy at 303-450-8904 or jmurphy@northglenn.org.

Sock Collection for Homeless
Families with children make up over one third of the homeless and transitional population in the United States. And their biggest clothing need? Socks.
To take on this challenge, the City Clerk's Office is again partnering with the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign.
You can drop off new pairs of socks through Dec. 31 in the City Hall lobby, 11701 Community Center Drive, and they will be given away to those in need from the metro area and beyond.
As an added incentive, anyone who donates a pair of socks receives a free passport photo.
The Sock It To Em Sock Campaign is a Colorado-based nonprofit. They’ve collected more than 225,000 socks for distribution. For more information, go to www.sockittoemsockcampaign.org.
