At the end of August, Northglenn had 917 licensed businesses. Of that, 715 are storefronts and 202 are home-based. In 2016, Northglenn has announced 52 new licensed storefront businesses, reporting 239 jobs, and the absorption of 127,835 square feet of office, industrial and retail space.

• Injury Rehabilitation Specialists is opening their second location at 11411 Pearl St.; the other is in Aurora. The medical facility specializes in treating patients injured in automobile accidents. This 6,400-square-foot facility will initially employ four people, but their staffing is anticipated to expand to as many as 20 employees. • Spirit Halloween Superstore has temporarily leased the former Marshalls building at 10650 Melody Drive in the Northglenn Marketplace. This Halloween costume and supply store is open now and will close in mid-November.
