Parks and Trails Volunteers

Flowerbed Partners
Dedicated volunteers plant and care for a designated city flowerbed. The commitment is at least one hour per week from May through October. We'll provide training and a recognition sign for your work. Availability: Sperry Park - Open

Farmers’ Highline Canal Cleanup
Hundreds of volunteers from throughout Northglenn and Thornton spend one Saturday morning in March scouring parks, riverbeds and trails picking up garbage and debris. This 27-year long tradition ensures the canal is clear before the water for the canal is turned on in April and gets our parks and trails ready for the spring and summer.  A thank-you lunch is served afterward.

Trail Partners

The city’s Trail Partners program invites volunteers to help clean up, maintain, and monitor the areas around the city's trails.

Time commitment is anywhere from an hour a month to an hour a week. Training and orientation are provided, and a recognition sign is posted in the area.

The city also welcomes interested businesses to sponsor one of the locations.
