The city has replaced its 40+ year old development regulations with a new Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) that brings zoning and development standards into the 21st century.
Goals- Create a more user-friendly document
- Streamline development review procedures
- Update zoning districts and land uses
- Improve development standards (ex. lot size, building size and placement, setbacks, height, landscaping, lighting, etc.)
- Preserve the character of the community while preparing for the future
Features
The UDO streamlines administration procedures and features updating zoning districts and development standards. Click here for a more in-depth overview of these elements.
The UDO includes updated names and designations for each zoning district as well as a new zoning map. We have updated two of the city’s interactive web tools to help you understand the proposed changes both for your property and throughout the city.
