The city provides curbside trash and recycling service to all single-family residences in Northglenn for a monthly fee of $16. Businesses should contact a private provider. Apartment complexes handle trash collection for their residents.
Trash will be picked up as normal on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2023.
Getting Trash Carts
All single-family residences are required to use a trash cart purchased from the city. This ensures compatibility with the automated trash trucks and provides a 10-year warranty for cart damages.
Two cart sizes are available:
- 96-gallon at $60 will hold up to 300 pounds
- 64-gallon at $58 will hold up to 224 pounds
- Three trash carts and one recycling cart
- Two trash carts and two recycling carts
If your cart needs replacement after the 10-year warranty ends, you will need to purchase a new cart from the city.
Trash is picked up weekly on your collection day. Recycling is picked up every other week on your collection day.
Trash and recycling are NOT picked up on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
If your trash day falls on one of these holidays, your trash will be picked up on the next day.
