Northglenn’s summer season will kick off in traditional style with the annual Kids’ Fishing Derby, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. May 15 at Webster Lake at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, 11800 Community Center Drive.
Registration was temporarily closed and open to a waiting list. Due to changing to Level Blue in Adams County we are able to open the registration once again for more participants. Face masks are no longer required but please maintain six feet of space between family groups based on Tri-County Health Department Regulations. This is also good fishing practice, there is plenty of space around the lake for all of the anglers to get six feet or more of space to prevent crossing fishing lines with your neighbor(s).
- Awards will be presented at 11:00 a.m. in six age categories and for the overall longest fish.
- Each winner will receive a fishing pole, tackle box and trophy.
What to Bring
Bring your own pole, tackle and bait as none will be provided.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife will have a fishing clinic and drawings for free fishing poles.
There will be mementos, snacks and lots of fun for all participants, so come and be part of the excitement.
