Business License

All businesses operating in Northglenn must have a city Business Sales and Use Tax License.

This includes any business selling, leasing, renting, delivering or installing a tangible product or engaging in a service - frequently or infrequently, whether anything is sold or not.

Residents operating a business out of their home must complete a Home Occupation Agreement.

Business License Application or Renewal and Tax Submission
The City of Northglenn is now utilizing the MUNIrevs system. Businesses can use the link below to both apply or renew their city business license as well as to submit city taxes.

Business licenses are free and must be renewed every year by Dec. 31.

Rules and Regulations
It takes 20 days for the city to issue a new business license and all businesses must have a license before they can open. The licenses are valid until your business is discontinued, sold or the license is revoked. A license is needed for each location in Northglenn. Business licenses are non-transferable.

The licensing process ensures that the area is properly zoned for the business activity and that the city has a record of the business' information.

Please promptly notify the Sales Tax Division in writing if there are any changes to the license or company information.
