Partners With Parks
Maintaining flowerbeds with the Partners With Parks program is just one way you can volunteer in the community.

Volunteer With the City

How would you like to contribute? Do you have knowledge and skills in a particular field? What can you do with your hands? Are your gifts in caring, compassion, and people?

Volunteer Opportunities

Park and Trail Partners
The city’s Park Partners and Trail Partners program invites volunteers to help clean up, maintain and monitor the areas around the city's parks and trails.

Time commitment is anywhere from an hour a month to an hour a week. Training and orientation are provided, and a recognition sign is posted in the area.

The city also welcomes interested businesses to sponsor one of the locations of Partners with Parks.

Graffiti Partners
Graffiti is unwanted and needs to be removed. Volunteers are needed to remove and paint over graffiti on public and or private property. Please help the city keep Northglenn free of graffiti.

One-Time Projects
The city often hosts projects for a few hours and involve 30 to 50 volunteers to accomplish a major cleanup or improvement project. Volunteers of all ages and varied skill levels are welcome. Contact us for the calendar of dates. A little bit of time from a lot of people can move mountains!

Snow Stormers
The Snow Stormers program is designed to assist seniors or persons with disabilities to remove snow from their sidewalks. Often, residents need their sidewalks cleared to receive critical services, such as oxygen and meal delivery. This has been one of the city's most valued programs for over a decade.

Beautification Judge
Do you enjoy walking through the neighborhood? If so, maybe you'll consider becoming a Beautification Judge and look for the Yard of the Month, Waterwise Yard of the Month, and the end of the summer Long-Term Home Beautiful Homes. The judges usually spend four to five hours each month from May through August selecting homes for these awards.

Volunteering with Northglenn Youth Theatre
Theatre can bring culture, delight and wonder to any person. In order to make each production a sure success, the Northglenn Youth Theatre actively involves volunteers to assist in the following areas:
• Costume sewing
• Set painting
• Backstage assistance
• Set construction

Volunteer with Administration
Many departments need clerical assistance with:
• Computer work, such as data entry and word processing
• Desktop publishing
• Filing and copying
• Mailings
Most activities are during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Donation Opportunities

Donations for Events
One way that you can support an event is through in-kind donations. Staff and volunteers representing various events may approach your business for donations such as beverages, door prizes and gift certificates.

Bike Donation Program
Have a bike sitting in the garage that’s just been collecting dust? The city is accepting donations of bikes to be given to local children. The city will pick up the bike for free and then refurbish it if necessary.

Holiday Food Basket and Gift Program
During the holiday season, the city participates in a food drive so holiday food baskets and gifts may be donated to residents who are less fortunate.

If you know about a Northglenn family who needs a food basket and/or a bicycle please contact the city.

To assist with food baskets, choose a tag from the giving trees located in one of the city's facilities during the holiday season, purchase the item(s), and put them in one of the food collection boxes. Grocery store gift cards are also appreciated.
