Taiko with Toni

Enjoy the festival sound of Japan at the D.L. Parsons Theatre–from traditional songs to contemporary compositions; folktales to cultural facts; lullabies to American traditional jazz and swing; folksongs to classical music pieces. In traditional costume, using taiko drums, various hand percussion, bamboo flutes and the koto (Japanese harp), Toni and her troupe delight audiences all over Colorado.

One of our favorite entertainers here at the D.L. Parsons Theatre, Jim Jackson, is back with a fun show about the adventures of “Busker,” the mischievous circus dog. Using puppetry, juggling, magic and hilarious stunts, Jim and Busker will take us on a fun adventure. Great for K-3.

Godspell is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time. Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew and featuring a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Children of Eden, Pippin), it boasts a string of well-loved songs including the international hit “Day by Day.” The story follows the cast as they humanly and hearteningly bring the parables of Jesus Christ drawing from various theatrical traditions.
