The commission consists of seven regular and two alternate members that all serve three-year terms. The commission meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:15 p.m. at the Stonehocker Farm Western Heritage Park, 10950 Fox Run Parkway.

Stonehocker Property

The Thede Farmhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places and the State Register of Historic Properties in 1998. The farmhouse is commonly referred to as the Stonehocker House. It sits at the center of Stonehocker Park on the eastern edge of the city boundary.

The commission is currently working to restore the Thede House as a museum and cultural center, showing the history of homesteading in Colorado.
