Ascension, located at Winburn Park in western Northglenn, is one of many Art on Parade winners that have been permanently placed in the city.

People can relax on the small dock that extends into Webster Lake and watch the geyser when it's warm. Webster Lake is located inside E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park.

After an extensive renovation, the eastern shore of Croke Reservoir was rebuilt to allow greater access for people with handicaps, fishermen and nature lovers. The reservoir is located off Huron Street, between 104th and 112th avenues.

National Night Out has become a staple in the community during the summer, as neighbors gather with city staff and elected officials at residences throughout the community.

The July 4th Family Festival is the biggest celebration in the city, complete with food, fun, music and of course, fireworks.

Since 1994, the Northglenn Youth Theatre has allowed hundreds of area kids to perform in award-winning plays inside the city's D.L. Parsons Theatre.

The Northglenn Veterans Memorial is a 23-foot-high bronze sculpture. Sitting just northeast of City Hall, the statue depicts individuals representing the many conflicts in U.S. history coming out of the American flag. The statue was created by Hai Ying Wu and was unveiled in 2003.

Northglenn City Hall is located at 11701 Community Center Drive. The top floor of City Hall houses the administrative offices, including the Building Division, utility bill payment center and the City Clerk's Office. On the bottom floor is the Northglenn Police Department and the Northglenn Municipal Court, which holds sessions in City Council Chambers.

The Northglenn Police Department teams up with Northglenn High School to host Safe Street Halloween, a free, community-wide event where kids can go trick-or-treating inside dozens of haunted houses created by the students.

Mudapalooza has become a yearly muddy good time as teams from across the area head to Northwest Open Space for this adult mud volleyball tournament.

There's plenty of fun for kids at the Sensory Playground, located inside E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park. It was recently named the best playground for kids in the area by a poll through MetroNorth Newspapers.

On Aug. 29, 2010, Crossroads Church organized more than 1,000 volunteers who cleaned, raked, painted and did construction projects at sites throughout Northglenn. Some of the efforts included rebuilding a pavilion at Danahy Park, cleaning and painting the baseball field bleachers at Rotary Park and Northwest Open Space, mulching by the Water Treatment Plant and sprucing up the area by Village by the Greens. The city would like to sincerely thank everyone who spent their morning helping Northglenn and its residents.

The inaugural Firecrackers and Flapjacks Race on July 4, 2010, was a success, with nearly 100 runners navigating around E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park then heading off to Winburn Park before heading back to the start.
