Six pieces of public art are installed at E. B. Rains, Jr. Memorial Park as part of the "Art on Parade" program. These pieces, which are on loan from the artists, are displayed in the park for one year and then replaced each year with a new selection. One piece, the "People's Choice", is purchased for permanent installation in one of the City's parks or facilites. Susan Geissler's life-sized bronze titled, "The Potato Main", is the recipient of the 2004 "People's Choice Award". This sculpture is currently located on the west side of City Hall.

Trash Collection Services
The City of Northglenn is one of the few cities in the Denver metro area that offers trash collection services to its residents. Currently the City of Northglenn has approximately 9500 trash collection customers. On average, our trash collection staff makes 1,700 stops per day.
The City of Northglenn offers very cost effective trash pick up services compared to some other cities and commercial trash carriers. Also, the City has a special pick up program, which is a great advantage to our customers, for a nominal fee. In order to maintain the highest level of service and the lowest price, you are limited to one kind of appliance per year for special pick up. For more information, call 303-450-4004, or see our trash collection rules and regulations [Residents / Services / Trash / Regular Pick up / Section II] to learn what types of items are prohibited.
The City of Northglenn offers its customers curbside recycling for two automotive batteries per week and five gallons of motor oil and/or antifreeze per week. The oil and/or antifreeze needs to be in a clear one-gallon container with resident's name, address and phone number. At this time, we do not accept oil and/or antifreeze containers that are not labeled. You can place empty paint cans at the curb and our trash collection staff will be more than happy to pick them up if the lids are off.
