Overview
The Public Works Department at the City of Northglenn provides a diverse range of important services to the community. Most of the services provided are very visible and would impact the residents should there be a disruption to this service. Other responsibilities are behind the scenes, vital to the operation of the City, but may not be noticeable to the public.
These services include:
- Handling resident questions, problems, and concerns.
- Maintaining City streets, drainage and storm sewer systems.
- Furnishing solid waste collection and recycling services.
- Maintaining the City's water and sewer infrastructure.
- Removing snow and ice, during the winter season, from the City's major arterial and residential streets.
- Maintaining the City's parks and trailways.
- Providing vehicle and equipment maintenance services for all other City functions.
- Maintaining all City facilities.
- Maintaining electrical and mechanical components of the utility system.
