E. B. Rains Park Cleanup
Officers from the Northglenn Police Department volunteer their time and energy to clean up and beatify the E.B. Rains memorial area. The memorial is located on the East side of E.B. Rains Park, 11700 Community Center Drive. Sergeant Steve Garrow is pictured with Chief Russ Van Houten.
E.B. Rains is the only Northglenn Officer to lose his life while on duty in the city's history. Corporal Edgar Blain Rains Jr. lost his life on May 30th, 1984 while protecting the citizens of Northglenn.

The Northglenn Police Department, in conjunction with Northglenn High School, will be hosting our 9th Annual Safe Street Halloween on Oct. 25, 2008. Safe Street Halloween provides kids a safe place to go trick-or-treating in the community.
Safe Street Halloween consists of Northglenn High School students decorating the trick-or-treat rooms, while business and community organizations set up in the common areas with games and activities. Approximately 3,000 to 5,000 children visit Safe Street Halloween in a three hour time frame.
