Across from City Hall at 11701 Community Center Drive is the award-winning E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park. Named after a fallen police officer in 1985, it is one of the most used parks in Northglenn. It plays host to numerous community and family-oriented special events. Amenities include five picnic pavilions, a playground, basketball court, the Sensory Playground and Webster Lake.
2010 Mudapalooza Mud Volleyball Tournament

Northwest Open Space will host Mudapalooza IV, a co-ed adult mud volleyball tournament, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 19.

The round-robin style tournament, followed by single-elimination playoffs, guarantees at least five games for each team.

Each team can have eight to 12 players. At least half the players on the court must be female at all times. All participants must be at least 18 years old. Cost is $325 per team.

The event is sponsored by the Colorado Lottery, Chick-fil-A on 120th Avenue and Washington Street and 92.5FM The Wolf.

A portion of the proceeds of Mudapalooza will benefit the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society for their research efforts to cure cancer. They are a national voluntary health agency dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improving the quality of live of patients and their families.
