Meet the Traffic Unit

The Northglenn Special Events and Traffic Unit currently consist of four members and a supervisor. Sergeant John Rosecrans leads the group and reports to the Neighborhood Service Area Commander, Commander Jim May.

Officer Kurt Barnes, Officer Joel Brown, and (two positions vacant), round out the team. Each member of the unit is motorcycle certified and they spend the majority of their time, weather permitting, on their Harley Davidson Police Motors.

The unit’s primary responsibility is traffic enforcement, but as the name implies, they also assist with traffic flow and safety surrounding special events.

Neighborhood traffic concerns are often one of the most important to the citizens of Northglenn. The traffic unit wants to help with those neighborhood concerns and has additional resources and tools to help validate and mitigate those problems. Please contact them at pdtraffic@northglenn.org if you need help.
