E. B. Rains Park Cleanup
Officers from the Northglenn Police Department volunteer their time and energy to clean up and beatify the E.B. Rains memorial area. The memorial is located on the East side of E.B. Rains Park, 11700 Community Center Drive. Sergeant Steve Garrow is pictured with Chief Russ Van Houten.
E.B. Rains is the only Northglenn Officer to lose his life while on duty in the city's history. Corporal Edgar Blain Rains Jr. lost his life on May 30th, 1984 while protecting the citizens of Northglenn.

Planning and Development is charged with planning, reviewing, regulating, and approving all aspects of land use within the City of Northglenn. These activities include development review, zoning enforcement, long range planning, neighborhood development, housing programs and grants, as well as economic development.
The Planning division serves the City of Northglenn in the promotion of strong, competitive businesses and attractive neighborhoods through the implementation of land use plans and the City’s zoning ordinance. They conduct activities ranging from current development and plan review to long range planning for the sustainable future of Northglenn.
