Six pieces of public art are installed at E. B. Rains, Jr. Memorial Park as part of the "Art on Parade" program. These pieces, which are on loan from the artists, are displayed in the park for one year and then replaced each year with a new selection. One piece, the "People's Choice", is purchased for permanent installation in one of the City's parks or facilites. Susan Geissler's life-sized bronze titled, "The Potato Main", is the recipient of the 2004 "People's Choice Award". This sculpture is currently located on the west side of City Hall.

Water conservation is top priority for the City of Northglenn as well as the state and the country. Over the past seven years, Colorado has suffered a major drought. It will take an extended period of time for local municipalities to recover from the effects of several years of below average rain and snowfall. We need to preserve this precious resource in order to assure affordable and plentiful quantities in the future. | | Contact Us

Your water charge is based upon water consumption measured in thousand gallons. Each month your meter is read either by a trained Field Utility Representative or an Electronic Radio Transmitter. A numerical value (meter reading) is input into a handheld or laptop computer. Once the reading is input, the computer will accept or reject the reading. A reading is rejected if it is unusual or outside your normal usage pattern. This reading is checked again before a utility bill is issued. If a reading appears to be too high or too low, another reading is requested before your bill is prepared. |
