Candlelight Vigil

Officer Jeremy Lund lights a candle for Sergeant Steve Garrow in preparation for a unity of officers showing their support of officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty.
community outreach

Contact Jenni Murphy, Community Outreach Coordinator, at 303-450-8904 or email jmurphy@northglenn.org if you are interested in any of the following programs.
Snow Stormers

The Snow Stormers program is designed to assist seniors or persons with disabilities to remove snow from their sidewalks and driveways. Often, residents need their sidewalks cleared to receive critical services, such as oxygen and meal delivery. Volunteers are assigned to support one to three homes. It has been one of our most valued programs for over a decade.
Beautification

Do you enjoy walking through the neighborhood? If so, maybe you'll consider becoming a Beautification Judge and look for the Yard of the Month, Waterwise Yard of the Month, and the end of the summer Long-Term Home Beautiful homes. The judges usually spend from 4-5 hours each month from May through August selecting homes for these awards.
Holiday Food Basket, Gift and Bike Program

The City partners with Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Food Bank to provide food baskets and family gifts to Northglenn families in need that are referred by school personnel, churches and apartment managers. If you know about a Northglenn family who needs a food basket and/or gifts or a bicycle, call Jenni Murphy at 303-450-8904. Our residents are wonderfully cared for and connected with an agency that is able to link the families to resources and assistance in the long term. Due to the amount of food collected, we also share with the Good Shepherd Presbyterian and Crossroads Baptist food banks, who also serve Northglenn residents year ’round. The baskets will provide a nice holiday dinner. Gifts will be given to all of the children in the family including the teenagers. Due to the number of families in our community in need, the families being referred must live in Northglenn.

To assist with food baskets:
Choose a tag from the Giving Trees at City Hall and other outlying facilities, purchase the item(s), and put them in one of the food collection boxes. Grocery store gift cards are also appreciated. The gift cards or cash to purchase these cards can be given to Jenni Murphy (303-450-8904) or Kae Madden (303-450-8949) who are both located at City Hall.

To assist with gifts:
Gifts for teenagers and adults are especially appreciated (new cosmetics and personal care toiletries, sports equipment, gift cards, etc.). New toys (NO STUFFED ANIMALS) are also needed. We ask that you NOT wrap the gifts as we need to be able to see them to match them up with the requests.

Bike program:
Small bicycles and tricycles in good condition are always needed for the younger children. If you have one that you would like to donate to a new home, please call 303-450-4004 for a special curbside pickup (if you are a Northglenn resident) which is free of charge for this purpose, otherwise please contact Jenni at 303-450-8904 to make arrangements for delivery/pick-up. Scheduled dates for repairing bikes are: Saturday, November 10th and December 8th from 9:00 AM – Noon at the Maintenance and Operations facility at 12301 Claude Ct. in Northglenn. We hope you will consider joining in this effort. In addition to the repairs, we need people to polish them up and test them out.
