Six pieces of public art are installed at E. B. Rains, Jr. Memorial Park as part of the "Art on Parade" program. These pieces, which are on loan from the artists, are displayed in the park for one year and then replaced each year with a new selection. One piece, the "People's Choice", is purchased for permanent installation in one of the City's parks or facilites. Susan Geissler's life-sized bronze titled, "The Potato Main", is the recipient of the 2004 "People's Choice Award". This sculpture is currently located on the west side of City Hall.

The City of Northglenn has 25 parks spanning more than 337 acres. Located throughout the community, each park has a variety of amenities, including basketball courts, picnic shelters and fishing spots. So whether you are a resident or visitor, come and enjoy what our parks have to offer.
Across from Northglenn City Hall on Community Center Drive is the award-winning E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, one of the most frequented parks in the city. The popularity of E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park is well established in the community as it hosts the city’s 4th of July celebration and Art on Parade exhibit. Amenities such as basketball courts, paths, pavilions, and play areas – including the Northglenn Sensory Playground – surround Webster Lake, which is located in the middle of the park.
