Events that are open to the public and charge a fee to gain admission are required to collect and remit a three percent admission tax to the city.
Some examples of events are: motion picture performances, stage shows, plays, concerts, sporting events, contests or exhibitions, lectures and rallies. “Cover charges” or “door charges” also qualify as admission charges and are subject to the tax.

If you will be holding an event and need to apply for an admission tax license, fill out the following application and submit it, along with the license fee and deposit, to the city clerk's office.
