Each month Northglenn residents have the opportunity to share their favorite community spot on a photo that captures Northglenn's serene community atmosphere. The photos submitted are published in the monthly newsletter.

The Winburn Family is the title of the photo selected as the Photo of the Month for July 2005. This photo was taken at Winburn Park in Northglenn, and submitted by Steve Musco, a Northglenn resident.
neighborhood planning groups

Do you know your neighbors?
Have you ever wanted to get involved in your neighborhood?
Do you have talents or gifts you could share with neighbors?
Do you have concerns for your neighborhood?
Do you want to work on positive solutions with other neighbors?

The City is partnering with active residents and facilitating the formation of Neighborhood Planning Groups. In these groups, residents will gather to identify areas of mutual concern on a neighborhood level, research and take action to achieve the desired results.

The benefits to being involved in a Neighborhood Planning Group may include:
  • Social interaction

  • Becoming a leader in your neighborhood

  • Offering or receiving personal assistance in time of need

  • Increasing pride and setting a neighborhood standard

  • Learning about skills and talents that neighbors like to contribute

  • Arranging for a roll-off for neighborhood cleanups

  • Facilitating two-way communication with the City

  • Connecting with Neighborhood Watch

City staff is optimistic and excited to continue work in the neighborhoods. We have met some wonderful citizens and look forward to building great relationships.

Contact Kathy Sandoval at 303-450-8994 or ksandoval@northglenn.org if you would like to get involved in your neighborhood.
