E. B. Rains Park Cleanup
Officers from the Northglenn Police Department volunteer their time and energy to clean up and beatify the E.B. Rains memorial area. The memorial is located on the East side of E.B. Rains Park, 11700 Community Center Drive. Sergeant Steve Garrow is pictured with Chief Russ Van Houten.
E.B. Rains is the only Northglenn Officer to lose his life while on duty in the city's history. Corporal Edgar Blain Rains Jr. lost his life on May 30th, 1984 while protecting the citizens of Northglenn.

The city manager is appointed by the Northglenn City Council and serves as the chief administrative officer of the city. The city manager is responsible for the implementation of decisions made by the city council and for the overall operations of all city departments.
The manager works with the city council in the development and formulation of policies, goals and objectives, and keeps council informed of community issues. The city manager’s office is also responsible for representing the city’s interests throughout the region and beyond through coordination of activities with various local, state and federal agencies.
