Each year, Mr. and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Northglenn Recreation Center to help turn the city's holiday lights on as part of Noel Northglenn.

Northglenn Channel 8 is the city’s governmental access channel, devoted to programming and videotext information to assist in informing and educating the residents of Northglenn about municipal government and to encourage active participation in their community.

Through a franchise agreement with Comcast Cable, the city utilizes cable Channel 8 for its governmental programming. Residents who are Comcast cable subscribers receive governmental programming on Channel 8.


A component of programming is the community bulletin board. It provides information about programs, activities, services and events throughout the metro area. If you are a nonprofit organization and would like information placed on the bulletin board, please fax the details to 303-450-8708, attention Public Communication Office. Be sure to include your name and telephone number should we need to contact you or should we have any questions.

Please note that due to the varied length of city council and study session meetings, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday programming may be interrupted to provide meeting coverage.
City Council Meetings

To better serve and keep our community informed of City Council actions, residents who subscribe to Comcast can view city council meetings from the comfort of their homes on Channel 8 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Showings of study sessions are on the same days, at noon and following the 6 p.m. council meeting showing.

Videos of council meetings and study sessions are also available a few days after the meeting.

You can also come to City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive, to borrow a DVD of a council meeting or study session.
