E. B. Rains Park Cleanup

Officers from the Northglenn Police Department volunteer their time and energy to clean up and beatify the E.B. Rains memorial area. The memorial is located on the East side of E.B. Rains Park, 11700 Community Center Drive. Sergeant Steve Garrow is pictured with Chief Russ Van Houten.

E.B. Rains is the only Northglenn Officer to lose his life while on duty in the city's history. Corporal Edgar Blain Rains Jr. lost his life on May 30th, 1984 while protecting the citizens of Northglenn.

Councilman James Miller was sworn into office to represent Ward I on January 12, 2006. Currently, he serves as an alternate member to the Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Board and is the Council Liaison to the Rangeview Library District.

Councilwoman Sheri Paiz began serving on City Council as a Ward I representative in January of 2002. Paiz was reelected to represent Ward I in the November 2007 election and in January 2008 was elected Mayor Pro Tem. Paiz serves as the Council representative to the Colorado Municipal League (CML), an alternate member to the Denver Regional Council of Government (DRCOG), and is the Council Liaison to the Rocky Flats Stewardship Council.
