The City of Northglenn was visited by 134 first and second graders as they toured City facilities including City Hall, the Northglenn Recreation Center, Police Department, and the Municipal Court. The children had a hands on tour of the North Metro Fire trucks, Northglenn ambulances, sanitation equipment, street sweeper, park maintenance equipment, water trucks, and a lift truck.

At the end of the tour the kids participated in a community service project by cleaning up the E. B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park. It was a day full of learning and fun!
laboratory services

Did you know that more than 59,000 analyses are run on Northglenn's water each year?

The City of Northglenn has a state-certified laboratory that analyzes your water on a daily basis. Many tests are run on our water to ensure that its quality will meet the regulations set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Water samples are collected from rivers, canals and lakes that feed our water system all the way through the treatment process and out to your home. Approximately 200 tests are done each day to check for heavy metals, bacteria, fluoride, water hardness, alkalinity, pH, nitrates, phosphorous, herbicides, pesticides, radiological testing, chlorine, organic testing and many others.

To get your water tested, or to speak with someone from laboratory services, call:
