Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves for an evening of fun when Santa comes to Northglenn to turn on the city’s holiday lights.

The lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m., with carolers and a spectacular light show. Following the lighting ceremony, there will be an indoor fair from 5:50 to 8:30 p.m. with activities for children, refreshments and free pictures with Santa after he arrives. The Northglenn Community Foundation will sell slices of pizza as a fundraiser for the Utility Assistance Program. The lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m., with carolers and a spectacular light show.

Before the event, the Northglenn Senior Organization will sponsor its annual bake sale starting at 1 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., Adams County youth group Back Beat will perform big band music before the Denver Municipal Band and Northland Chorale play holiday favorites.

The event is sponsored by Northglenn-Thornton Sentinel, Northglenn Community Foundation, Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation, Scientific and Cultural Facilities District and ATA Karate for Kids.

The city will be collecting canned goods, new toys, and gently used clothing for those who need it in our community. Volunteers are also being sought for the event.
