Every year, the Northglenn Police Department and Northglenn High School team up to host Safe Street Halloween, a safe place to have an evening of Halloween fun with haunted houses, candy, music, entertainment and plenty of costumes.

Interstate and Highway
The city of Northglenn has the enviable position of being cloase to a number of interstates, turnpikes and major toll roads.
Interstate 25
Nearly cutting Northglenn in half is Interstate 25, the major north-south route for the Denver metro area. I-25 goes south into downtown Denver and by such locations as Coors Field, Invesco Field at Mile High, Elitch Gardens and the state capitol. Beyond the metro area is Colorado Springs, Pueblo and down into New Mexico.
Heading north, I-25 moves along the Front Range by Loveland and Fort Collins before moving on to Wyoming and Montana.
Interstate 70
A few miles south of Northglenn is Interstate 70, the major east-west route for the Denver Metro area. Going east, I-70 leads residents to Interstate 225, Denver International Airport and then on to Kansas and the plains.
Going west, I-70 provides a straight shot into the mountains for those wanting to get away.
E-470 and the Northwest Parkway
Just a few miles north of the city is E-470 and the Northwest Parkway, connecting toll roads that makes nearly a complete circle around the metro area. These routes allow citizens to avoid rush hour through the heart of the metro area.
Other major thoroughfares
- U.S. 36 - Also known as the Boulder Turnpike, U.S. 36 heads northwest to Boulder and the University of Colorado.
- Interstate 270 - I-270 starts where the Boulder Turnpike ends. Cutting through unincorporated Adams County and Commerce City, I-270 can provide a shortcut to those heading to Denver International Airport or the eastern plains.
- Interstate 76 - A few miles south of Northglenn and intersecting with I-25, I-76 is a perfect route for those heading to northeast Colorado and on up to Nebraska. Going west, I-76 ends when it joins with I-70 near Arvada.
