July 4th Family Festival

July 4th Family Festival

6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Thurs., July 4, 2013, E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, 11801 Community Center Drive

The July 4th Family Festival is the city's signature event, with more than 10,000 people from throughout the region congregating to the area for a fun day of events before culminating with a fantastic fireworks display.

The day starts with the Boy Scout pancake breakfast and the Firecrackers and Flapjacks run and continues with the July 4th Car Show, Northglenn Senior Organization Bake Sale, the Bike Trike & Wheelchair Parade, the Patriotic Pooch Parade, food and community booths, a kids' fun area, water play activities, a military recognition ceremony and a flyover. The Andy Hackbarth Band is scheduled to play from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., with the fireworks to follow.

Due to the construction near 120th Avenue and Grant Street, fireworks will be launched from Webster Lake and choreographed to music.

Free parking will be available in the lot just north of the park and behind City Hall. Handicapped parking is available in one of the park parking lots.

This is an alcohol free and family-friendly event.

July 4th Car Show

Northglenn’s inaugural July 4th Car Show in 2012 was a resounding success ~ thanks!

The show includes new, classic, vintage, antique, hot rod and rat rod cars, as well as motorcycles and trucks.

The city anticipates that 100 vehicle owners will fire up their engines and show off their ride at the festival and car show.

Check out the photos of the entries into the car show in 2012

Registration for the race will begin soon. Cost to sign up for the race before July 2 is $30. Sign up on July 3 or on race day and the fee jumps to $35.
