Six pieces of public art are installed at E.B. Rains, Jr. Memorial Park as part of the "Art on Parade" program. These pieces, which are on loan from the artists, are displayed in the park for one year and then replaced each year with a new selection. One piece, the "People's Choice", is purchased for permanent installation in one of the city's parks or facilities. Ryan T. Schmidt's stainless steel sculpture "Ascension" was dedicated at Charles C. Winburn Park, 112th Avenue and Huron Street in 2009.
